At Delta Driving Academy we want to give you the freedom to earn a living while experiencing the beauty of Alaska.
At DDA you will learn all of the safety rules and regulations that are required to become a commercial driver.
We utilize a curriculum for every skill level. Whether you are a beginner or just need to renew your license, or build on your current skill level, DDA has you covered.
With DDA you will receive the knowledge you need for ELDT. We take the time to teach with each individuals learning pace in mind. We understand that not everyone learns at the same speed.
After finishing the course with DDA you will have the confidence and skill you need to be a safe and successful Commercial Driver.
At Delta Driving Academy, our team of experienced instructors are dedicated to teaching safe driving techniques in the Interior of Alaska. Comprehensive classroom theory, behind the wheel training and skills training will prepare you for a carrier behind the wheel.

Single Vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more. if the vehicle is used for towing the trailer GVWR can not exceed 10,000 pounds

Once you’ve registered and paid the tuition, you’ll receive login credentials to access the online Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) course. This federally mandated program is required for anyone pursuing a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) who did not obtain their CDL prior to 2022. The course is entirely self-led and self-paced, allowing you to progress on your own schedule.
Once you feel confident in your ability to pass these exams, you should complete your DOT physical (if applicable) and proceed to take the tests to earn your Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP).

Mastery of basic commercial vehicle handling must come first. Once students demonstrate confidence and competence in core driving skills, they may pursue advanced training for challenging conditions such as icy or hazardous roads.
